Andy Shuai Liu

Communications Officer
Andy Shuai Liu is the Communications Officer for the World Bank's Social, Urban, Rural and Resilience (SURR) Global Practice, with a focus on sustainable development issues such as the environment, energy, urban development, and disaster risk management. Previously, he worked as a communications consultant on open government and ICT-enabled citizen engagement with the World Bank Institute. Prior to joining the World Bank, Andy served as a production manager, anchor, and reporter with China Central Television (CCTV) in Beijing, China, and as a senior Chinese editor and English contributor for the International Journalism Network in Washington, D.C.
Andy studied Public Diplomacy at the Maxwell School and the Newhouse School of Syracuse University in New York, where he earned his Master's degrees in international relations and public relations. He also holds a Bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism from Communication University of China.
